Apple Pie Porridge

Our hot apple pie porridge oats is just the breakfast for cosy autumn mornings, giving your stomach a big warm hug.

Ingredients

100g Mornflake Organic Porridge Oats

500ml dairy-free milk

120ml unsweetened apple puree

1 apple, chopped

2 tbsp sugar

1 tbsp raisins

1 tsp cinnamon

½ tsp vanilla bean paste or essence

¼ tsp nutmeg

Pinch of ground cloves

 

Toppings (per bowl)

 

1 tbsp mixed seeds

A drizzle of maple syrup

½ apple, thinly sliced

1 heaped tbsp almond butter

Method

Place the oats, milk and apple puree into a small saucepan along with the chopped apple, sugar, and spices.

Bring to the boil, then reduce the heat and continue to cook until the oats have thickened and reached your desired consistency.

Stir in the raisins, then divide between 2 bowls.

Top each bowl with 1 tbsp mixed seeds, a drizzle of maple syrup, sliced apple and a heaped tbsp almond butter.
